netINS DSL Firewall offers protection from well-known Internet computer intrusion methods. The Internet uses a variety of different "port numbers" to provide a transport method for individual jobs (like checking email or viewing a web site). Some of these "ports" may be accepting traffic from intruders trying to reach your computer. netINS DSL Firewall blocks requests to your computer for many of these commonly used ports. netINS DSL Firewall also blocks incoming and outgoing "netbios" traffic. Finally netINS DSL Firewall prohibits illegitimate "or spoofed" Internet addresses used to access your computer for any reason.
